AAUW Laguna Beach distributes grants up to $750 that address needs related to AAUW’s mission, which is to promote equity for all women and girls, lifelong education, and positive societal change. Applications are accepted each year between February 1 and May 31. AAUW members of the Laguna Beach Branch work through its Foundation to empower women and girls through education to reach their full potential.
In 2007, the Laguna Beach branch made financial
contributions through Community Grants to the following community
programs:
Applicants must be from local community-based nonprofit organizations.
Grant requests must relate to the education and needs of women and girls or provide information to educate and benefit the public on these issues, promote lifelong education, and promote positive societal change.
